VU+? Wetek? Amiko? - Help

Hi there,

I'm looking for some new STB to replace the azbox mini me that i own, but i'm between this 3 options:

Amiko A3 (Android + voice search)
Vu+ Solo (popularity)
Wetek Play with DVB-S2 (Openelec + Android), i'm seeing a lot of ads about this device

Can somebody that had tested this equipments give me some feedback?
What should I choose?

Amiko A3 has issues with the emus, otherwise OK as long as your not expecting anything fantastic, Vu+ Solo, superb receiver with plenty of support.

Wetek Play, No idea on that one, never used on and i doubt i ever will

Technomate do a Linux range now which compete with Vu+ same BCM chipsets but at a lesser price and they are all well supported, I dont do Amiko never fancied one especially with a of of negative posts about problems. The Wetek is geared more towards Kodi/Xbmc abut Andorid and DVB-S2 do not get along well

So, I've been searching about this matter (i don't understand much), and VU+ Duo is very popular on the forums.
amiko, well this one ... it seems it has some problems... :/

But, this wetek machine, i found a lot of people talking about it and it's a kodi sponsor.

The price between wetek and VU, well, wetek is cheaper.

Don't know :/

I've never used any of them but if the wetek runs the sat side through kodi/tvhead end then its a winner but if android controls the tuner then it'll be more head ache than its worth

Have you got a linky for the wetek so we can have a read because their website doesnt really have that much info on there on first glance (wetek.com)

Will it be moving a motor?

I'm reading a lot on another forum

It seems on Android, TVHeadend doesn't work. They have a app of their own called Wetek Theatre

The mention openELEC (?!), didn't know it, but it's just like kodi, and they are sponsor's too.

This Website has a lot of tutorials and it seems to work with TVHeadend.

I bought one WeTek Play few time ago, it has been a good surprise.
I got 2 tuners, Sat and TDT, but I also use IPTV with TV Apps (actually they provide one too, but mostly you can get on your Sats)

Now I'm ramping up on option to OpenElec (external mSD card to alternative boot

), its focus on Kodi, but actually adds also TVHeadEnd to use Tuner and get all you channels too, and it seems to have lots of community support. (I didn't know before)

I've learned a lot with them, and i don't have a wetek.

They talk about enigma, tvheadend, vdr, lakka, pulsar...
I'm like a kid learning how to write!

now, just have to wait for it

These communities helped me a lot to but one.

wetek seems to be a amazing device. and if i don't like it, i can get a refund in the first 14 days!
