Been a while but finally feel able to comment on the findings re: the dual output Titanium C2-PLL.

Do not have another make of dual output to compare with but sensitivity wise I found the Titanium was on a par with the WSI ESX241 (single) over several tested satellite positions.
Yesterday and at 60.0ºE, which I consider my easterly limit, I started set up and fine tuned with the WSI single on 3698 R 1666 reading 5.5dB as per:-
https://www.satellites.co.uk/forums/threads/60-0ºe-intelsat-904.165125/

Changed to the dual output Titanium which also saw initially 5.3dB, fine tuned to give 5.6dB.
Changed and connected to the second output on the LNB and exactly the same reading, 5.6dB.

Finally with the Titanium dual, had one output connected to the Technomate 5402 mk3, 8m coax run and the other output to the TBS 5925 USB, 25m run..... then reversed the coax cable connections at the LNB outputs resulting in identical .db readings at the receivers so think safe to say that there was no gain/loss between the dual outputs and the different receivers/coax run.

Overall and only my own setup/findings.....well pleased with the Titanium Dual output C2-PLL.

Again, thanks to the peeps above that guided me with this. respect-067.gif

I tested my dual titanium a few days ago with poor results. I tested 4 lnbf and the titanium results were the worst, my main c band feed is still the psi x2 dro lnbf-I now have 2 titanium lnbf collecting dust in my garage.

Hi Costactc.....hope you are good.

Not a good read about your Titanium results........been searching for a supplier of the Psi X2 but most of the asian sites do not offer Spanish or English as a read language also a USA site say they do not ship to Spain!
Not to worry.

Be safe. respect-048.gif

Hi Costactc, was the test performed on your mesh dish please ?, I have seen a few not so good results with mesh dishes, but don't see many bad reports on solid dishes.

I tested the 4 lnbf on my 3m mesh CM. After the test I moved my dish to 131w to test a tp and noticed that I could barely get any signal quality at all so I went back outside with the titanium lnbf to see if I could improve it. The titanium didn't show me any signal quality whereas the psi x2 managed to get the tp in question to a db level of about 10. I have no affiliations with any satellite equipment suppliers, all i want is optimal signal.

Many thanks Costactc, once I get round to installing C band I will be doing tests, I am the same as you I am not loyal to any brand, if it works better than the next one it stays, but like I said I have seen a few bad results with mess dishes and the titanium. I am unsure if you are using C band on your 1.2 ?, doing the same tests might through some different results ?.

Unfortunately, I had the same results with my single titanium lnbf on my 2.4m solid as I have a bsc422 on that feed.

Many thanks, I have two brand new titanium's, only single feed ones, with what I am doing with the summer house I am building I will need twin feeds, so I will order different types, I will save the titanium's for testing against others, thanks again for you test and findings' Costactc :)

Not ideal but just bought from the Bay a single output psi x1 lnbf.....will enjoy the testing anyway.

€25,84 delivered.

Thank you for the link, ive just ordered one just over £14 delivered:)

LNB has arrived today:), it doesn't come with a plate and there is no groves down the throat for a plate to fit, I guess I will just have to copy the position from my others,

My 3m CM mesh dish is being used exclusively for linear c band sats and I had totally forgotten that the psi x2 doesn't have the dielectric plate. I had sent an e-mail to the supplier asking why it didn't come with the lnbf and the reply was that was how he received them. Are there many circular c band sats over Europe aside from the Atlantic sats?

Most C band satellites here are circular, with only a handful being linear.

Martin, the plate should go at a 45 degree angle to the two probes inside.

Thanks Alex, my other two have groves inside I could have used as a reference, does the skew of the lnb depend on your location please, ive seen so many LNB at different angles.

If it's to be used on circular polarities then it makes no difference what the skew is (since the signal gets depolarised by the plate, it doesn't matter what angle it's coming in at). The only thing you might have to adjust is the plate's position...if inserted at the wrong 90 degree angle (you'll see two sets of grooves in the other LN:cool:, then L will be swapped with R.

Same rules apply for linear satellites as in Ku band though (without the plate) - 0 skew.
