I think their excuse for the lack of wit is that it is just some Christmas froth when in fact they have thrown together some cheap crap and hope no one will complain because it is Christmas.

Well, we watched it and really enjoyed it, it was not meant to be a comedy show, more an account of how the show came to be made with some humour thrown in, I thought that was obvious?
