No more Jaeger SMR 1224 motors !!!!

I have done them before for customers I owned fabrication shop the way to do it is to make new bottom plate on lathe once complete you use gas struts E and W to stop any back lash if I do the modification I will document it
 
I have never seen these for sale. There doesn't seem to be a lot of information about this motor either. Were they more study/powerful than the 1224?
 
they was the big brother to the 1224 they said up to 3.6 dish maybe ok for mesh dish 3.6 but nothing bigger than a 2.4 resin dish imho

I recall the mounting shaft was cast alloy rather than mild steel and ubolts, which was a backward step.

A few years ago I have to repair such beast and made the parts to attach a Laminas AS-2700 for Batting 43 , our Italian member .
The worm from the E-motor was broken .

I wouldn't trust the actuator to run something beyond a 2 metre, or a 1.8 in an exposed location myself, but it is well made.

I have a SMR 1224EL which as been working a 1.8m dish for 45 years no problem still works, yes jaeger as gone bust mine stands on a pole 2m high.
