Eutelsat have exclusive use over their frequency bands, thanks to a legal agreement from about 25 years ago.

basically both SES & Eutel claimed the 28E slot, and refused to back down. After many court cases the frequency band was divvied up to give both operators access to the slot.
Interesting. This means some of Astra 1N frequencies won't be used during the interim mission at 28.2 E

Just had another scan and can see a few dog feeds from Astra 1C but there is one unusual constellation, not sure if it's significant as I'll readily admit I've no idea what these images show but as you can see it changes as I alter the rx frequency. These were all taken within a minute of each other.

I have two spikes now, one at ~11702H and the "old" one, 12492V. Both quite low in my region...

I don't see anything on 11450 H or anything between 11450-11700 for that matter.

Yes, 11695V seems to have QPSK modulation superimposed on the analogue signal?

Nothing. They are just phase shift tests.
Llew said:

Yes. It is switching between QPSK (but not DV:cool: and the circles. All depends how long you are harvesting the signal for. On my meter it sheds the constellation every few seconds and starts again so I can clearly see when it changes pattern.
