Just recorded this, left scan shows full spectrum and a constellation I've not seen before, the right scan is zoomed in on the only active portion of the band and shows some unusual ripples above the big spike on 11116H.

Only get the circle in my constellation window - never had any unusual ones on 1N. No ripples using the scan frequencies as in your second pic.

Ignore the edit in your post - slip of the fingers.

Ι think whether you see different constellation patterns or not depends also on the DVB card. With my S2-1600 I saw some unusual patterns the other day (I posted them in a previous message), but on the same time the same signals gave only circles with the TBS 6925. Aceb uses a Prof 7301 which has the same demodulator chip as the S2-1600.

Good point. I suppose as there's no modulated signal with those test channels, the demod chips try to process them in a different manner.

anyone has a guess what will the spot beam transmitter antenna be used for when Astra 1N goes to 19.2E? i can't imagine it being built only for a one year interim mission at 28.2E.

Surely you mean SW (eg Spain/Portugal/France) with the main focus on Germany?

No sign of any testing today. May be moving east.

I think your right, 3B was undergoing about six days testing last May, it then moved off for about 8 days to go from 31.5E to it's home at 23.5E. We'll have to keep an eye on the tracking sites to look for any movement now, that is if the TLE data is updated this time!

I don't know what sense a spot beam for Germany with overspill to Spain would make.
German TV channels have most rights issues with Spanish PayTV, as they show sport encrypted, while it is FTA on German channels.
But I also dont know what sense overspill to north west would make...

Which demonstrates that all this rights infringement and spot beams nonsense is a load of BS.

What frequencies are you seeing the tests on today? Same as during the week? n2yo seems to be more up to date now so I guess any move will be spotted on there once the testing has finished.

Much the same testing as previously, 11034H testing now in the lower bands.

It will be interesting to see how other people elsewhere are picking this up as to whether this is the spotbeam or one of the pan European beams they are testing this on.

Those other weak carriers showing on the plot, are they from 1C's ad-hoc TP's?

That is still giving me 60dBuV on the Fibo 90, along with a couple of muxes from Rascom (10872 H 19626 5/6 plus another one right on top of 11035 H).
