The E28A Super beam is a lot closer as it's right on top of you with 46db or more so the interference shouldn't be negligible. A poster earlier was saying he can receive 12.523 using an 85cm dish where you are.

i can only tell you the information on the ground from installing dishs here for 12 years

I have tried all african beams at one point or another here, 36 East, 10 East, 7 east all with a 2.4 meter channel master, At the time I was looking for Setanta Africa but we could not get any of them,

From memory 1 tp on 36 East worked and that had motors TV and some other none relevant stuff, It seems the African beams never come this far up.

You didn't get 36E ? I have read several times that mainland of Spain, even further North got 36A Africa Beam even on 1m. This beam reaches as North as Central France. An old report showed positive reception on 3m it was i think.

As for the easier 36B SSA Beam this one reaches even Switzerland (1.20m in Luzern got almost all 3-4 weeks ago) and even her in SW Germany member qwer gets some very weak signal on some using a Kathrein 2.20m.

So if you in Spain and especially on the Canarias don't get a sniff off 36E this might be quite interesting since then we would have a sidelobe here.

Anyway, i have listed up all the satellites above just to have a comparison to the 2F West Africa Beam which has become active according to reports on _http://www.nairaland.com/712408/free-air-satellite-tv-general/228 since it is now receivable even in Southern Africa.

36E AFRICA beam has a ´´bump´´ over spain ,so its not really DX tv but there is only one transponder with one in english channel

Can anyone IN THE ISLANDS sit down with a cup of coffee and a custard cream and watch a program on BBC HD 11.024 using a SKY HD box and drink said cup of coffee
(ok you can have a second bikkie) without freezing of picture ....???

all my customers on large dishs are on complexes or share and have a standard SKY HD box ...
is there anyone out there ???

Do you know what the signal/Spectrum of 11023 look like in "Real Time" on a
signal/spectrum analyser there?
It would be very interesting to see a youtube video of that.

Here in SW Portugal it's rather boring...always 15-17dB below the adjacent
1N transponders.

Yes the signal is worse here...Since you are 800-900KM southwest of this location
and the strength is far better and much further off the boresight of the
2F spotbeam you must be receiving a sidelobe of sorts.

A spectrum analyser would be very handy to see what's happening there.

MultiTv Astra 2F on my single 90cm dish. I was surprise to see MultiTv at 91%

tAstra 2F in Kenya.
in Limuru , central Kenya, a 1.2 Meter dish can nab the bird.
You can get the bird with a 90 cm offset dish in the Western region of Kenya.

This mean WAB is powerful and covers a large area ...

No simply because Sky HD boxes wont manually tune SR of 23000! Sky boxes CANNOT take any part in the game atm until the two test channels are mapped onto the epg.

Anyone claiming to be be watching the tests on a Sky HD box is mistaken.

as far as i know all the WAB service are on 2F
would be nice if someone with a large dish did a scan ....

Hola peeps, Just done a scan on 12552v sr 19531 looking for Multi tv WAB on me Spiderbox hd 9000 with 2.4m o/s channelmaster dish. nothing, showing up at all. Sorry I can't give more accurate figures, don't have an analyser and me S10 box has let the smoke out. Still getting a pulsing signal on 11023v, arrecife radar.

Yes, please do, I notce this morning that all the signals from 1n are lower than normal but we have had something funny falling from the sky, It feels wet, clear sky now though, I'll keep an eye on it.
