Hola peeps, Just done a scan on 12552v sr 19531 looking for Multi tv

Thats the old Nigeria spot frequency on 2B.

You need to look at 12522V 19531 (one digit difference!)

Ah, I will check that later, I may have posted the wrong frequency and checked the right one. Or the other way round. With age comes confusion.

Ok, Just scanned the right frequency 12522V 19531. On the spiderbox Nothing there. Just as a matter of interest there has been a 10% drop in signal quality on the 1n transponders to around 58% except channel 4 HD that was always higher but now it's endstop. Sorry I cant be more specific on figures.

I think the correct parameters for Multi TV are 12522 V 27000 3/4. 19531 was the old S/R.

Hi all, Have checked and the SR is 19531. I scanned with SR of 27500 DVB-S QPSK and it came up with the channels on Eurobird. Does this mean that the WAB in the Canaries is tighter than has been thought on these forums? or just because Eurobird is so strong here. I wish I had my S10 working, brilliant blind scan, anyone got an SD 4844P PWM chip, I can buy 1000 from China but not one. With regards to the signal quality decrease in my previous post, ignore it, back up this morning but the sky was clear when I checked last night.

I can report that this morning I have lost 11126 V (Channel 4 HD and 4/7) but no problems with 10964 H (Channel 5 bouquet) or 10994H (ITV inc ITV1 HD) which has been reported elsewhere as also having moved. In fact, an initial look indicates 11126 V is the only change on my setup. Maybe we are back to the 2D situation of losing Verticals but not Horizontals!

Nearest town - Maspalomas
Dish size - 2.4m Andrews/Channel Master
Dish type - Offset
LNB - Inverto Black Utra Quad
Is the signal stable enough to give watchable video? -,Yes


I am using a SKY HD box so can only check "on EPG" for many channels.

Have just seen a heavily pixelated picture with broken sound on Channel 4 HD. Who knows, with a little scew adjustment I may be able to pull in the verticals.

Hola Peeps, I can report from Villaverde, Channel 4 HD not locked but 4 seven on same transponder 11127 pixellating badly, ITV on 10994 no signal. Channel 5 group on 10964h no signal. We have fairly thick but broken cloud in the direction of the satellite at the moment. 11052H just about watchable so that one is well down too. I will go and tweak the dish later. All this on a spiderbox HD9000, 2.4m Channelmaster O/S Invacom dual C120 feed. There is hope!

Looks like we have been lucky in the south of Gran Canaria. Horizontals (which you are not even sniffing) are rock solid. The C4 HD /4-7 (vertical) TP is very close to being watchable right now. I have an excellent LNB and I think the DRX-890 has a sensitive tuner. May just need a scew tweak and possibly upgrade my cables. Hope things improve for you in Fuerte as the day goes on ;)

Thanks for that BP, when I have got my brain in gear and had me porridge I'll go out and play. 4 seven has now completely dissappeared but the Sun is now looking at the dish. I know solar outage time has gone but there is bound to be a bit of solar interference, especially on a poor signal. 11052 gone as well now. All other channels are normal.

No problems with CH4 HD, or any others from what I can see. I took a range of signal strengths/quality from my Humax a few weeks ago in anticipation of this. Will do the same today and post results later.

Have just come in from doggie walking.
10.964 H SR 22.000 FEC 5/6 - The Channel 5 bouquet. Now suffering significant horizontal pixelation
10.994 H SR 22.000 FEC 5/6 - ITV. Very slight pixelation.
11.126 V SR 22.000 FEC 5/6 - C4 HD / 4-7 Nothing being received.
11.053 H SR 22.000 FEC 5/6 - ITV HD London etc. Locked OK.

Just completed my first range of signal strengths/quality readings (24 in all). I did the same in November at 10:00, 14:00, 18:00 and 22:00. So will do the same today. These are the results from today 10:00 readings (only the four signals of interest).

11126V 75% strength 50% quality. Stable picture. In November this was 80% strength 100% quality.
10964H 75% strength 60% quality. Stable picture. In November this was 80% strength 100% quality.
10994H 75% strength 60% quality. Stable picture. This was not on my list of November readings.
11053H 75% strength 60% quality. Stable picture. This was not on my list of November readings.

I have also noticed a slight decline on 10773H (BBC4) from 80/80 in November to 75/70 today but its only slight and is not the result of 2F switchover as such.

Will post my other readings tomorrow.

As posted previously, I know that my dish is slightly out of alignment but will not touch this unless I do get a picture break up. LNB skew not adjusted. Weather; clear sky's and no wind for readings taken in November and today.
