Perhaps he could send the eBay one back and get a refund then go for this one?
He’s already got a Gibertini 1.5 on the way.

I must have missed that, has he bought a Gibby 1.5m as well as the CM 1.2m?
His topics are all over the forum, not easy to keep track of and remember what is going on.

I’ve got my wires crossed.

Looking back he said he’d already bought his 1.2m and the Gibby literally sold within the hour of being listed.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!

"buy in haste, repent at leisure" comes to mind

Dan Addison, should have waited for this dish...

Aye, all that 1.2m CM with polar mount needs to get it up and running is an actuator, v-box, LNB, coax and an NPRM with 3" pole.

An NPRM can be loaded with 18" paving slabs into the ready made trays for anchorage and there is usually adjustment on it to get the pole vertical.
Quick and easy install at low cost.

Been on months and months that has.

Surely they'll let it go at some point.

As it’s brand new it’ll probably out live satellite TV as a technology.

My mate has one from the mid 90’s and it still looks brand new to this day.

I wouldn't say it was brand new but more new old stock (NOS). It can be seen on the photos from the advert that the paint on the dish face has deteriorated somewhat.

Yes, but nobody in the profession recommends a 3" post for anything larger than a 1.2m

What is the overall weight of a CM 1.2 with an actuator?

With what actuator

With what front end ?

On which part of the planet ?
Don’t know anything about actuators to know which ones are popular.

Never had a dish big enough to consider 36v.

CM 1.2’s alone are 28kg. Wow.

You're missing out temperature changes (nice bit of snow/ice) plus wind loadage on a reflector in inclement weather.

Or both.

Of course this country has never had a hurricane, blizzards or lying snow.

You don't need an actuator or polar mount . You can use an h-h motor

28kg on a diseqc motor? Surely the wind would tear it off?
