yea u possibly did
And the dish mount? For example Az/El (fixed) or polar mount, I'm not sure the dish I saw came with either. If none this is still a worthy option and should be easy to adapt it to a 1.2m:

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Needs to be the 2.75" (3" OD) from memory. A good bit of steampipe will do as a groundstand in concrete.

Eeeasy.

The mount is useful (suitable for a 1.2m), the rest is a compromise and an insult to a reliable 1.8m system (3" seriously ?).

Scrap the metalwork forward of the bearings and it may be worth £80 for the experience.

Unless the mount is less than about a metre long I think 3" pipe is a good idea - my 1.2m Gibby & Dark Motor about 2m up a 2" scaffolding pole "bent" seriously bent it & it took a lot of work and extra supports to get the pipe vertical enough for CH to get it to track correctly.

I haven’t seen a CM1.2 go for over £50 for at least a year.

One went for 99p with an NPRM a few months back.

People seem to be scared of going down the 36v route if they already have a Diseqc.

It's the only way really with the bigger dishes.

I know people run Gibertini 1.25's on Diseqc motors but I personally wouldn't try it in a windy location.

I'm one of the latter but agree about windy locations, and certainly agree about 36V for larger dishes - I might have done that with the Gibby had I not disposed of all my 36V kit (including the cabling to the other end of the garden) many years ago!

I have a Gibby 1.25 on one of the metal DISEQC motors and its OK but yeh I agree, up a chimney or on the side of a house I'd be worried.

1.5m PF dish in Worcester.

It’s been up a few weeks, seems like a new home owner has ‘inherited’ it.
