hey guys

im currently getting about 15db on various TPs on 53e - i suspect i might be able to get some more east sats \ tps - based on that strength - i could be wrong.

however, im not sure what else i can get after 53e, and i need some strong known TPs on various EAST sats after 53e which are known working so i can tune in, then nudge dish to see if the signal comes in.

many thanks

ok, so let me check something - regarding the 2 degree difference

my vbox counter for 4..8e is 985 and 7.0e is 975 - so thats 5 clicks per degree roughly

when i try 9 or 10 clicks east after 53e (for 54.9) all it found is this data stream....

That's 54.9°E, did you try to maximise the signal on that TP and scan again?

Yeah but why is it finding the data stream but not the others . I'll try on octagon . The icecryot is finding that data stream

Perhaps that's the strongest signal, and either the line of sight is partially blocked or the dish isn't perfectly aligned.

thanks, yeah, i doubt its alignment on the basis of strengths at 30w 16.5db and 53e 14db - more likely blocked my neighbours trees

What motor do you have? If it's a polar mount, clicks are not uniform across the arc.

SMR 128g. I'm giving up. I must be on it to get the data feeds just not the channels . Must be a blockage with line of sight

Ah OK - the SMR will be linear.

I have good signal on 53E but 55E is significantly lower than it should be due to neighbour's trees. The relative gap between two positions at extremes of the arc is larger than at the centre.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
...The relative gap between two positions at extremes of the arc is larger than at the centre.
Surely the opposite of that as sats at the ends of the arc are further away from the receiving dish than when they are the southern-most sats for that dish location??
