.....and it's only 0.3 degrees elevation. It isn't a typo for 7W is it?

Sorry it's 45W not 77W. Nothing specific was just wondering if I'd receive more by going further east or west and pick up weaker satellites in between receiving some extra south asian channels would be a bonus.

Theres a few south Asian channels on 9E, although these channels tend to have the audio encrypted.

Most of the south Asian channels are on shaped beams not available in Europe

I've just picked up a few versions of this channel from Nilesat. From what I've read I thought it was impossible to get anything from Nilesat with my dish size at my location. Is anyone else getting this?

yes most of us with 1m+ dishes do but its EUTELSAT 7WA@7.3W that you are receiving which has a further reaching footprint(although not officially) than NILESAT 102/201. if you fine tune your dish to 7.3w in usals/1.2 you should get around 600+(im only 10 miles from you and get over 600) channels although 75% will go in anything above drizzle

Yep, nomenclature is key here: The 7W nominal position is traditionally and commonly referred to as Nilesat but one of the birds in the cluster is Eutelsat 7 (Which is actually at 7.3!) and it is a relatively easy catch in the UK, whereas the remaining true Nilesat stuff isn't.

Would I need to edit satellites.xml to create this position and copy all the transponders to it? I'm using the latest BlackHole image I can see positioned setup and fine tune but it won't let me store a position and scan for services in current position.
