Yup, varies according to Rx.

Neither Skybox F3 shows the problem, nor does my non-PVR Humax Foxsat.

But the Humax Foxsat HDR does exhibit the effect.

Mystery.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

They may be broadcasting more than one video standard down the one transport stream.

@ sonnetepete

Yup. That's it exactly. Slightly distracting, no more.

@ Analoguesat

Seems far worse on yours!

Its very patchy. the picture can be fine for quite a while then dissolve into that mush several times, or you can just get irregular breakup along the bottom.

Hm, almost looks like a poor signal for sure. Maybe their feed/relay point is having issues and it's simply sent like that already? Does it happen on various receivers at the same time?

I'll see if I can compare signals over the weekend. I should be able to rig it so I can see the Sky box & the Duo at the same time.

The signal is weaker than the others - 62% on the Duo.Agauinst 90+% on the Astra 2 channels. The sooner Eute 28A is pensioned off & the frequencies moved over to the Astra 2's the better!

NHK HD no problem on my Dreambox 8000, but a check with Transedit analyser gives consistent pixellation, with a bitrate a steady 10Mbps. No problem with, e.g. BBC HD.

I can't see any missing packets. Preview with Transedit like other pc applications is based on Directshow. So it's not transedit but the filter that causes the artifacts. Simple solution: select a different decoder :D

Yes, RT is behaving the same as NHK ( ie dodgy on Humax Foxsat HDR, but not on Skybox F3. Dish independent).

Of all the dvb-s2 players(DVB Dream,DVBViewer)and tools, only with TransEdit Analyzer I have a slight pixellation on NHK HD,and not on RT HD.No problem on Dreambox HD.

Hmm interesting.

Set up:

Sky 2TB receiver
Vu+Duo shitebox

connected to the same lnb on the same dish

Watching in parallel on the main tv & the tv card in my computer for a few minutes.

Massive smearing on the Sky HD box. If anything its actually worse than it was a few days ago.

Less on the Duo, and its not happening at the same time.
