Last time I had a Zone 2 on 22°W was last year, Reuters had become quite variable, often falling below lock (used to be an easy catch) whereas the Algerian transponder became much stronger than Reuters (previously was the weakest of the three active transponders with only occasional locks). Once NHL left and Reuters being irregular I took the dish down.

Sounds like the issue I'm having. I do recall several years ago the Reuters signal being a fairly easy lock myself.

Still, the dish I'm using to receive it is (as I've already mentioned) being used with offset LNBs at 14W/15W & 30W so it's worthwhile keeping it up at 22W for the time being for myself.

No specific information here, but are you sure that this satellite is not beginning to move into inclined orbit after 10 years of usage? Maybe it must be checked.

I did think early on that with the signal variations that SES 4 are having (in my experience) that it might have started going into an inclined orbit, but with it not being near its predicted end-of-life, nor any reports in public of such a problem with the satellite itself along with data from N2YO & KingOfSat, I suspect that this isn't the case - if there was, then I'd guess the Carribean Canal+ service on the same satellite would be affected and we'd have heard some news about it if there was.

I'm glad I came across this and others have similar problems, I have had a 1m ebay none branded dish locked on 22w for years, Since maybe 2013 and it's brought in Reuters fine.. Until about last year. It's very hit and miss, the lightest of rain and it vanishes. May need to upgrade it to a 1.2m.

No sign of any major inclination on it from the tracking

Plus shes only 10 years old so Id be surprised if there are any major issues on the bird.

If the reduction happens again someone post as its happening if possible & we can combine reports
