I think so, apparently Greogian and such dishes have less of this phenomenon.
But if the LNB is aligned properly, the opposite polarisation is well suppressed exactly in the direction where the signal of the wanted polarisation is maximum.
Certainly, no new tp on the east beam.
I ve checked the east beam tps.
Yes this sure is cross-polar reception of TRT transponder 11958 V.
More chance of locking a cross-polar transponder with a big dish like yours!
You may even find two directions (for example towards 41.5° and 42.5°) where such signals are strongest.
This is normal behaviour of offset dishes.
Can only see West beam from here on the 1m dish, no sign of East, Africa or TurkiyeHi, I am getting 11021 H 2220 and 11014 H 9600 3A East beam, be interesting to see some reports from other areas.

Yes, 11014H comes in slightly stronger. I'll do a scan of other TPs on 3A in due course. Not really expecting a great deal, but who knows? Thanks Llew, do you lock anymore transponders from the 3A beam please 11014 H 9600 is a little stronger here than 11021 H 2220.
