There have been many reports in another forum that the card dies with Cccam the past weeks and it should be taken as a warning.

I have removed my card and run it in my Sky box now, i just can't take the risk that the card dies as i live outside UK.

My White Card updates just fine using CCcam 2.14

Yes that's what everyone else got also where the card dies, they have received new EMMs but the card won't open any channels.

OK. I'll wait another two weeks and recheck the entitlements again...The card still has about 1 month of valid entitlements.

Oh, that would be real bad news for Dreambox users! I'm just a little bit confused. In this forum nobody seems to have had any problems with the updates until now.

You mention reports concerning the card dying with CCcam. Didn't you read anything about similar problems when using NewCS or OSCAM as cardserver?

It only seems to be affected those running CCcam, you can check _www.eurocardsharing.com

The cards are dying like flies right now with CCcam, several people still have valid EMMs but it doesn't open some of the channels.

Some say Sky is up to something, some say it's CCcams fault, some say it's because of overclocking.

There are no real reason why it's happening yet...

I am running NewCs on Ubuntu and have 2 cards in omnikeys. One card updated fine the other did not. Entitlements ran out 00.00 on 10/05/10. Card died about 2.30am on 11/05. I then put it into my VU+ duo running CCcam 2.13 and it was updated in the morning till 11/07/10. I did notice that some HD channels were not opening for a day or two but it seems ok now.

This should probably be in another thread, but here goes anyway...

My receiver stopped reading ECM's from my card a few days ago. When I checked the entitlements they seemed to be valid and up to date. They were dated **-07-2010 (I cant remember the exact date).

I put the card back in the digibox and called sky. They sent an updated there and then which updated the entitlements to 14-07-2010.

I'm running CCcam2.14 on a VU+ duo and I'm not overclocking.

Is it possible to get the fta HD channels (e.g. ITV HD or BBC HD) with an hd dreambox without using the sly card ?

I am about to buy an hd dreambox (for programming purposes only ) and do not want any problem with my sly card.

You don't need any card for those channels.

How can I check the entitlements on a DM800 running Gemini 5 ?

Has anyone else had anymore experience with the cards dieing with cccam ?

The CCcaminfo plugin worked a treat.

Is there a menu where I can check the temp of the card ?

what dreambox do you guys recommend? i want to be able to record tv in its raw mpeg2 state or hdtv in h264, or whatever it is, and save onto a hard drive.
what dreambox will do the job?
sorry im a complete noob to all of this, i like many people found their white sly cards not to be working in the card reader any more! i have a dvb s2 tuner card in my pc. seeing as there's no way to get the sky encrypted channels any more i have to use a dreambox, this is the only solution, right?

just to add a bit of info, I had sly hd and multiroom card running in a dm 500s, the multiroom was in card slot and main hd card on com port with phoenix reader. this was working perfect so because I had my dm7020 running a gamma card on a usb cardreader I decided to change all cards to 7020, with same combo of mgcamd and newcs 1.67, everything ran ok but after debugging with telnet discovered that the main card on com port was re init after every few minutes. I then remember reading somewhere that some external readers worked in a different way as regards to the way they detect the card so after changing the newcs config file card detect from no which worked with the other external reader on 500 to yes on 7020 this fixed the problem.

hello to all
have been running dm 500 for 7 months and all of a sudden as of 2 days ago ch 301 and 302 are gone.
these boxes do not update the channels when sky sends out a upgrade.
the channel is now on 11836H.
does any one know how to manualy add this to the list?
i have done a manual scan and after that were does it go to?
i don't want to hook the box to the computer and load all the information all over again.
other than that it never asks for a pin and it runs 27/7 with no card heating up and no problems

Find the new one in your all satellites list. Press menu the select ADD TO BOUQUET. Your bouquet list should pop up, then just highlight the bouquet you want to drop it into and press ok. It will drop it into the bottom of the selected bouquet. You can then place it wherever you want in the bouquet by pressing menu the selecting ENABLE MOVE MODE. then select the one you want to move, it will turn red, then just move it up to where you want it and press ok to drop it in.
