Tell me another receiver that will display dB signal level readings for those frequencies that are below a lock level, a very useful tool when hunting weak signals?
Add in to the requirements an easy to edit channel/satellte database and with user friendly menus - result, you are back at the fabled Dr HD F15.
Not dB level, but the GTCombo does a good impression in quality percentages. The fall off across the ranges is progressive despite being slated by 'those that know better', I find if the signal quality can be peaked to around 17% by tweaking what is outside - or inside by manipulation of the symbol rate - then there is a good chance I can lock signal and grab the streams.
For example a frequency on 36East, 11495V. Earlier it would not lock , but after nudging the dish and changing the symbol rate by 2MBps, in comes Al Mayadeen at 22%.
I would have to plug in the analyser to tell what 22% equates to in dB, but I know the Emitor has trouble locking onto a S2/8PSK signal (though it might give detail of the stream and how close it is to bagging the constellation).
