My Satellite Setup
90cm motorised dishes(98x90)+fixed+multiLNB+24Unicable.
Currently 56 satellites, 61°West to 57°East.

Octagon SF8008 4K Twin, VU+Duo², VU+Ultimo4K.
Recycled as the owner.
My Location
North of Madrid (28703 Spain) -3Km of IKEA (40.545847, -3.612012).:-)
The 2E Europe signal is annoyingly close. The problem is I'm running out of space, my 80cm dish is already 1cm away from the balcony door...

Above the TV if you have room.
The antenna is very serious, put a smile.

PS: It's not "small" problem.
--------------------------------------
La antena esta muy seria, ponle una sonrisa
Encima de la TV si tienes sitio.

PD: No es "pequeño" el problema.

I take it the rules are nowhere near as stringent on private land as both you and Timo have mahoosive dishes...

But it was the same for me yesterday too. Was 12.5dB a few weeks ago, yesterday and today 0.2-0.4dB on an 80cm dish in Finland.

I think 1.8m was the max before planning permission was required back in the 90s but that may have changed now that we have stronger satellites available. Kveys probably knows better than me.

BCW,
Really like the snapshot time lapse spectrum readings. Shows exactly the moment of switch over for each transponder.

I suspect tonight for the 1N SP to 2E SP the levels will drop from low to nothing on your plot as there migrated.

I sure hope they will not fall below the current 2F transponders levels...

even if there is a marginal difference between 2f uk and 2e uk, it won't make much difference to me, as for some strange reason, in my location a 4 meter dish is needed for actual tv viewing for 2f uk, and even that is "just about". we can pick up snippets here and there with a 2,4m, but that's very accidental.
so for us there is a huge drop from 1n to 2e/ef as far as the spot beam is concerned: on my 1,5 gibertini i have 24/7 perfect reception on 1n uk.

Does your dish fill all of the available area?
If not a rectangular shape will give you more reflector area. The round or elliptical shapes
are not the only holy slutions approved by the gods of physics. Take a larger elliptical offset
antenna and reinforce the rear side and then chop away until it fits the space. The physical
stability comes mainly from the folded edges of a dish and removing parts of those will
make it "soft".

But who told Flysat ....................... Relies on our hobbyists reports (especially from the keener chaps!) to a large extent.

I living at rowhouse and if im right Timos parents (where the 1.8m be located in?) also in their own house. Here are much stricter rules when living at (heh dont know right word for kerrostalo:) ) apartment building (is it ok word?). Satellite dishes are very common controversy between neighbours here.

Yep, Timo is right that 1.8m mostly max size. I made planning permission myself and it says my dish size is 1.8m. For sure its 1.8m not 2.3m if anyone asks:-rofl2

well, according to flysat, there are only 4 tp's left on 2a: 11954h (empty), 11973v(emtpy), 12441v(empty) and 12480v(sky)
surely, they're wrong...

Doesn't Lyngsat get info direct from SES as to what is where? That hasn't been updated though yet! Can someone do a quick rundown, out of the 1N TP's, which have been migrated to 2E? Just the one?

Yes, it's said that Lyngsat has a source within the Satellite operators. How true, how reliable and to what extent I couldn't say.

Personally, I prefer Flysat (despite the limitations on accuracy) and KoS (great for Searching for stuff).
