With a Technomate type receiver are you able to receive Channel 4, BBC and ITV or are they encrypted?

I would just assume that a new satellite receiver be it a newer model sky box or some type of Humax Freesat box would give me a small improvement.

I got the Quattro from Amazon.fr and with prime it was free to return so no issues.
