RSCC has successfully transferred the current traffic load from Express-АМ22 to Express-AM6 (53°E)

RSCC has successfully completed transferring the Express-АМ22 current traffic load to Express-AM6 SC (53°E).

RSCC specialists are currently proceeding with translating the Express-АМ22 from its 53°E orbital position to 80.1°E.
It is planned that the Express-AM22 satellite will start operations in the new orbital slot on 05 August 2015.

Now at 62°E, arrival at 80°E on 25 July.

RSCC have started testing the satellite systems at its new orbital position. From August 5, RSCC plans to begin services using the capacity of Express-AM22 from 80˚ E.

Ksenia Drozdova, RSCC Deputy Director-General for Business Development, notes that, “The satellite will be in high demand, above all, for TV content haulage from Russia’s center to the Far East, and for providing fixed-line telephony and satellite-supported broadband services”.

Also, RSCC are exploring the feasibility of using Express-AM22 steerable beams to meet the needs of customers in the Middle East and Central Asia.

Siberia, well that makes it still hard to pinpoint you.
But you have a great open arc from 16 to 160 East, so I guess you're near 88°E longitude (Tomsk - Krasnoyarsk border).

Express AM22 above 12.5 GHz is steerable beam only, and that footprint we don't know yet for 80.1°E...

Yes shawl_who we know the footprint you found and posted!
It's the (ex) Wide European beam, only possible in the 10.95...11.2 GHz band.

Above 12.5 GHz can only be one of the two steerable beams.
In my post #7 above, RSCC states they want to test the steerable beams towards Middle East and Central Asia.

80.1°E is just 1° above the horizon for me, no chance!

U mean, the 2 steerable beams this satellite had when it was @53e ?
None of those beams are covering Russia (siberia)

The footprint which I ve posted, do indeed cover central asia and Most of middle east. So the new footprints looks more likely to me.
Though @adnois1 shud have got it, in greece.
