hi chaps.

had a torrid time seting up m8 db 800 hd. usals doesnt work for some reason so ive scaned in 28.2,,,19,,,13,,,and 16 Eand there all fine .

Now for some reason i cant pick up 0.8w and i should as ive replaced a db500s for my 800hd and i used to get 0.8w fine.

my AGC is 89% but ber and snr are both at 0 when i try and find the sat.

also in sat finder it locks onto a sat at around a SNR OF 50% LOCKS and then drives past the sat...

Have you correctly entered your long/lat details into the receiver and highlighted 'use usals for this sat' ?
 
mate to be honest i totally gave up with usals on my 800!

mine is a clone though and thats what i think it is as i asked around on every sat website about the usals and looks like i had been putting it all in correctly!

after weeks (and i mean weeks!) of buggering around i just stored them manually. this way at least i only had 1 nite of arsing around !! lol

i hope u can sort it tho and if u do please post it :) i would be more thn grateful!
 
Just got usals to work on 9 e wierd this...lol

i needed to go to positoner and adjust the dish to the east to gain from 65 % to 90 %.

so maybe my usals are slighty out thats why ther not workin.

As for all my other sats its been a week of hit and miss and now just 1 sat away and thats me all done..(lol).

i plugged in my db500s before and all the sats on that have been lost!

Strange.
 
Make sure you are entering usals details whilst the motor is at zero degrees/reference.

a lot of channel setting are slightly different for 1w...some have them as 0.9w

Main menu, 6-setup, service searching, sat config, erase thor from your list, save, reboot your box, main menu, setup, service searching, sat config, add new and select thor again, save and reboot.

try that
