OK, more playing, this time the 1.2 Precision off my 3 inch pole and the 1.2 Greg attaches to the 1224 using the original Fibo motor declination brackets. Made an LNB clampP1010006.webp P1010007.webp P1010008.webp P1010009.webp P1010010.webp from some studding and some spare bits from a universal TV aerial bracket. A bit more gain was to be had.
I need a Trust type LNB revolver now!
 
Nice piece of kit. If only I could find the time to play some more.

That what i was suspected. Original Fibo holder holds feedhorn little bit not vertical, do not remember right now but it was something about 3-5*
 
Why do the ITN people have to write "restricted to ITV regional companies"?
Why not just encrypt the damn thing?
It's so easy an cheap these days - but of course it makes the world of feeds much more fun for us eaves-droppers ;)
 
More playing. I wanted to try out the feedhorn supplied with the dish, so made a waveguide barrel from a pukka Hughes feed to fit in the feedhorn assembly, tapered the end like the XMW feed.
Not bad considering I'm only using files, hacksaws and a vice.
Seems to work well..
