1.8m Raven Install Begins....

I have planning permission for mine, but I would just install it, all that can happen is you to be asked to take it down, if that happens then apply,
As long as its not going on a front garden in a built up area you wont have much of a problem, my pal works in the planning office:).

Ah, so you're a Morris Dancer, then? :-irish

I live in the sticks and it isn't visible from any public road, I doubt my neighbour has even noticed the dishes, I guess Im just worried for no reason that he decided to cut that particular hedge by the dishes. :D

Thanks for making me feel a tad better

Morning!

Just dreaming about LNBs as you do, Looking at this post: http://www.satellites.co.uk/forums/threads/op1-25-scalar-setting.161245/#post-881178

It's an arrangement I've seen a few times on here, I'm assuming the two C-band LNBs are for linear and circular?

Wiring wise, How does one get those 3 LNBs attached to one receiver which also controls the motor? I'm curious if I'll have to run a couple more lengths of cable to the dish spot, or if I can get 3 LNBs and motor control over one cable via a DISECQ switch? I'm a bit unsure on these when it involves a motor.

Hi, mapperuo, Vipersan will be able to help, along with a few others.

Yes, DiSEqC switch. If the dish is really big enough for C-band you'll be using a V-box. So it is LNB->switch->Vbox->STB. So one coax cable from the Vbox to the DiSEqC switch (which is tie wraped to the LNB arm of the dish), and one 4-core cable from the Vbox to the motor/actuator.
