That's going to depend on the power balance for each of those satellites at any particular location. Testing from here on 10729V using the 1.5m dish the signal from Badr5 is 72dB and only 58dB from 2D. With the dish pointed at 27.2ºE the Badr5 frequency is still locked. The crossover point in power between the two satellites is at about 27.7º and locking 10729 on 28.2º is impossible. With a 1.8m dish 10729 on 28.2º is easy to lock though.

Ok. You could try pointing the dish a bit more to the east, otherwise your only other option is a bigger dish as CH says.
 
Strange world. We are watching 'Eggheads' on BBC2 Scotland in torrential rain without a glitch (almost) (lnb with bespoke plastic bottle cover).

I even watched the cricket on ITV4 last week, & ITV4 evening has not been possible for some months.

Thxs guys, but throwing money at the problem is just not our style (I live with a Scot!)
 
maybe an lnb upgrade might help , not as much as a larger dish , but alot cheaper and could be worth a try .

Never found they make much difference. Best I had was from Lidl about 5 yrs ago which outperformed a 'limited edition, silver plated, ultra low-dongle factor' Inverto.
A pity it failed.
Best at moment is an old Japanese Alps bullet, except when it rains. Even with my patent fringe area plastic cover it still manages to freak out if just one drop lands on the (small) face.

Tried a Foxsat HDR when a friend was passing through recently. That was impressive. It pulled in E4/E4+1,C4+1 etc which have been awol for months.
Though I'm told it also wont get 10773H now back in its home in S.E. Spain.
 
i got a good improvement from changing my lnb , especially from fringe signals . i now use an ultra black for general viewing .
