.... looks like 12° West.

Mod request: - Could someone re-locate the last few posts from post #3 down and including this one, to a new Ka thread header of "12° West-WGS3-Ka" please.
Done and dusted John.

21047H is almost invisible to me on a Triax TD88 dish, only just lockable. It's short frame 32APSK at present, no video for me (-0.5dB  )

A dB or two better now with chopped-off Inverto Saorsat FH. Maybe more suited to Band C (Norsat FH scaled for Band A).

.. Did you eat all that trifle yourself Llew ? .... the Soarsat feed seems to match the opening angle on my 1.2 Gibby very well Llew & better than the Ka feeds that come on the dedicated Gilat and Hugh's satellite broadband lnb lumps.

No, just the fruit medleys John. I use these covers on my Ka and Ku feeds, it's known as recycling :D

Yes, almost worth buying those LNBFs just for the feedhorn :)

Yes, as far as I have found, similar in perfomance. Only difference is in number of scalar rings (Inverto on the right).

@ s-band ...... iv'e dug the spare Inverto Soarsat lnbf's out Graham, here's the septum method used for the circular polorisation control as well that i think you were interested in.

An attempt at 20.148L DR1 yields a surprisingly good result, considering I'm using my Band D XMW A9215HDF LNB (with a cut-off feedhorn from an Inverto Saorsat LNBF) on a Triax TD88 dish.

Result is much better than using the Norsat Band C LNB on this dish, which I found drops RF level significantly at this frequency (see earlier post).

You can start recording Eurovision for those wanting.

Some pixellation over a period, not reliable over the program's running I would guess.

I'm putting up a 1M dish tomorrow, will try that. The Inverto KaKu Band D LNBF on the Gibby 1.2 dish is a lot less forgiving below 21.2 GHz than the XML - nothing significant around 20.148 GHz.

I have now modified the GILAT LNB (AN8002) so that the whole range of KA Band-C works.
