What is the best way to maintain a Jaeger 1224 motor, apart from spraying

the inside with WD40?

don't you have to put grease over the moving parts as that's what i have done

you've not worn it out already ?

Yes suppose grease is also good.:)

as there was a very small bit of grease on the cogs or what i thought was grease as china could used anything lol

so just put a load more on.

shame they aren't going to make any more of them.

Thats why I want to look after my 1224:)

Its a great bit of kit;)

Wish I had bought the reinforced model now.

cant you mod yours with the metal plate from the pics on that sat shop ?

Cover the outside of the box containing the internals with a rainguard.

Don't overload the gearbox with a dish that is not designed correctly.

In some installations I have added a counterweight that sits behind the dish, so the polar bearings are not worn on one side.

What sort of dish do you mean CH?:)

Would you say a 1.8m Precision?
