My Satellite Setup
Dish setup: 80cm Motorized Dish, TM-5402 HD M3. This setup goes from 1w to 28.2e

My computer setup: AMD Athlon II X4 645 3.10 GHz processor and 8GB of ram. Graphics Card is NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti. OS: Windows 10 64 Bit

You don't need a 4k TV. Just a proper receiver...In my case it scales down to 1080p. But there is nothing to see really. Just promotion stuff...and with very good quality even at 1080p.

so like fta receiver because cannot pick up on my freesat box?
 
You need a receiver capable of dealing with the HEVC video codec. Many better modern ones do. Or if your tv has 4k capability & a satellite feed on it then you can do it that way.

The A/S site was hosted on the free webspace on my old Demon ISP account. I let it die when I jumped ship due to their dire customer service - it had outlasted analogue satellite transmissions by a year or so, but it was time to let it fade away like the old analogue transmissions.

It looks horribly dated now doesnt it :D (Although it was deliberately simply designed so as to be reasonably fast loading back in the dial up days.)

Ive still got all the files so I could resurrect it if I felt like giving it another life, although thats unlikely now.

you could do a similar site but for digital satellite.
 
you can use also DVB-S2 USB stick and PC

I did for a while, but full time work got in the way and it was hopelessly out of date virtually all the time. It was called digitalsat.co.uk :D I keep the domains registered just in case I decide to relaunch the sites in some way.

To be honest Flysat, KoS, & Lyngsat do a far better job of keeping on top of frequency changes than I ever could - its a virtually full time job & I have to work to pay the bills.
 
I have toyed with the idea of doing a new channels blog. Similar to the New Channels section we have here but maybe with more pics & more background info.

Maybe when Im retiired....
