:)hi, everyone

need some help with my setup.
i currently have a 78cm triax dish picking up hotbird,
i recently bought a triax multi lnb bracket so i can get
13e,16e and 28.2e is this possible or do i need a bigger dish. also what lnbs and cabling would u recommend for this setup.

thank u fo any help.:)

You will struggle to get the lnbs close enough for 13E and 16E. You may have to buy some narrow profile lnb's (Alps type) and possibly trim down the holders.

Put the main focus onto 16E. You may find the dish is a bit on the small side for some of the 16E frequencies in bad weather.

thanks for advice and 28.2e is this possible?

thanks

Either upgrade the dish to a 88cm or 110cm, get bullet LNb's or keep the 78cm and get a 3° monobloc LNb for 13e/16e and then fit a seperate minidish for 28e :)

On a TD110 the bullet nosed LNBs are not necessary for 3 degree separation, the Little Inverto's will do it. However the Triax multiblock is too short to cover 28E and 16E with 16E at focus, so would need to be extended somehow, or another hole drilled into it.

Also the Triax multiblock is not the best for 16E, as it is a bit of a faff to get the LNB at the focal point. The LNB holder needs to be cut, and so does the plastic swivel joint that holds the Aluminium bar.

thanks for advice everyone but would this work on a 78cm triax dish with triax multi lnb holder and a extension for 28.2
like robbo has said

Looking through the thread I understand it to mean using a 78 cm you will need a separate dish in order to get 28 deg. Only if you go to a 110cm can you use the extension arm for 28 E

It has a chance of working with a TD78, however you may have difficulty getting a reliable signal on 16E. ( I don't usually play with dishes that small) If you can manage that, then give it a go. You will most certainly need the narrow LNBs though for 13E and 16E. 80cm is the bare minimum really for 16E in this neck of the woods.

Experiment a little- see what you can achieve.

It's one thing when its being set up for someone else, you have to go for something you know will work well, but when it's your own you can setup something that may be a bit marginal initially.
