14w new Russian transponder

Perhaps I didn't give it long enough before moving to another satellite then. Will try again this evening.

Channel Hopper, I put the new frequencies and symbol rates into the transponder list for 14W. Then I did a scan of the satellite looking for T2MI signals. Finally after a while with the box saying it was processing T2MI I removed power & restarted the box. I went then to the 14W listing and they were there. Good Luck SimonE

Big variation in signal strength for me! 11647V comes in at 13.2dB, 11546 & 11564 just under 6dB and unlockable! A bit odd if they're on the same beam!

Looks like the GTMedia v8 UHD is outperforming the Octagon non E2 boxes on these feeds.
These GTMedia v8 UHD boxes are reet tasty little bad boys and great value at just over a bullseye delivered to the UK.

Not enough to lock here (98cm, south Scotland) , though the wind has probably shifted the dish slightly. I think I need another db or two

My error, I could have sworn there was V8 written - somewhere - on this GT Combo box.

Channels are in on 11.647GHz but the 80cm dish isn't picking up the data on two transponders (currently showing strength 70%, quality 74%).

I'll have time to stick it on larger dish later.

The v8 UHD is lacking the better menu interface of the GMedia Combo and the 4:2:2 but it has a lot less bugs in it. The v8 UHD seems quite stable and all functionality works as it should without crashing, for me at least.

In my personal opinion. the GTMedia v8 UHD is way better value than those Octagon non E2 boxes and quite a few t'other boxes for the wad.
For a receiver with 4K, auto Poop and mature firmware at just over a bullseye delivered it is a no brainer, pull the trigger, you know you want to.

Nice one, yes it looks like the v9 Prime has a similar interface to the v8 UHD.
