Joking aside, it would appear that perhaps pressure from other Middle Eastern nations may well have made the difference, the trespassing claim only being believed by those who want to believe it. ;)

I would suggest that the whole saga was a distraction technique to take attention away from other matters, but I doubt the Iranians have got away with it, time will tell ;)

The waterway has been disputed for decades with Iran claiming it to be theirs & Iraq claiming it to be theirs also. Not that it matters anymore because we only had 2 boats in the area to carry out these operations.......... & Iran is holding on to them! I like the way British commanders have suspended operations pending an investigation, without any boats we never really had a choice did we :-rofl2 :-rofl2 :-rofl2

At least we have our own diplomatic channels open now & don't have to rely on false yankee intelligence.
