Hiya

Is it possible to get 16e on a 60cm dish? Im in SE london and the footprint maps show it should be sufficient. But im finding it very difficult to lock onto a signal while 13e and 19.2e are very powerful. Is there a strong transponder i can tap into my meter/reciever?

Thanks

Will

60cm is a bit small - some of the frequencies have a pretty rubbish signal - esp the A-beam stuff.

You might get a few of the stronger tp's but for all of them - you need a 1m probably

As I've just reinstated my 80cm, coming down from 1m, I'll do a quick scan and tell you the old and new Channel count.

Number of stored FTA TV Channels as per legacy list from 1m is 65.

Scanning .......

Number of FTA TV Channels found on 80cm is 41.

There might be a few more to be had, as I haven't updated my TP list recently, but you get the general idea.

Going down in size further will lose you most of those.

PS Just noticed some of those 41 are from 13E, too, so the total goes down .....

Must do this properly when I get time.

What minimum size is recommended? I have a 78cm dish with a lnb bracket. (28, 19 and 13)With some shuffling around i could move 19.2 and 13 onto the 60cm (requiring another bracket) and put 16e on the 78. Would 60cm be ok for a 19.2 and 13 bracket?

It depends which channels you must have - if they are on the Euro-A beam then you probably need a 1m

11.470 or 11.345 either of those. A 1m is gonna be hard to explain to the boss

Ah, Total TV.

I didn't scan those, so I'll go now and see if there's a usable signal on the 80cm.

Well that makes the 60cm a bit useless then.

Alternatively would i be able to get 39e hellasat on it? Thank you so much for your help

Hellas is quite an easy catch for some TPs but, as with 16E, it rather depends on exactly what you're after.

Post up the info and I might have time to check before Masterchef.

39E - yes you should do as thats a fairly easy catch

12.688 thanks

Takes all sorts!

Edit. No, not AOL, but Bulsat, AS. You're looking at 16E listings .....

Or Dolce, depending upon polarity.

Masterchef about to start .....

Haha sorry its 12688.00

Yeah I was still looking at 16E :D

As Laz says its Dolce or Bulsat depending on polarity - Hellsat uses split polarity transmissions on the same frequency.

Anyway both are decent strength and are certainly worth trying on a 60cm.

Thank you both, you've saved me a lot of hassel. Cheers!
