Looking for @John carriers as here: Amos-17 C-band HTS in sub-Saharan Africa - SatsUK
I peaked on 16E beacon by mistake. Amos 17 is on 11699.5V and Eutelsat 16E is on 11699.2H. There also seem to be a couple of carriers above 11699.5H from 16E. The other beacon from Amos 17 is on 11449H. Listing suggest the Amos beacons are circular polarisation, maybe they were initially? On my 1.2m it's hard to spatially separate when they are that close.

... just looking at my notes from yesterday afternoon Graham for that sequence of carrier progressions in Ku High Ver and they stopped the activity at approx 2.55pm UK and have not seen any similar activity since in Ku High Ver.

Try this, 11449H with 10Hz RBW, GPSDO locked now so frequency is correct.

... this is that beacon on the Promax down to minimum span 10MHz.

** Side note - - I obtained a couple of Gibertini feeds the other day for use on the 1.2 Gibby here and paired one up with a 'Blazer' Universal PLL lnbf modded for C120 and gained an extra 1dB min

New on both polarities (sorry - in C-band):

3611 L 4330 DVB-S2 and 3611 R 4330 DVB-S2, both GS.


:Y .... I'm out of action at the moment, the dish is chained in the 'down' position due to some strong winds over the last day or so but can still monitor Ka & Ku for any activity
 
Two more appeared - also strong signal (in C-band):

so,nothing more than C-band on this 17E?
is C-band expanding in numbers of channels these days?

Decent signal strengths as well - C-band still chained down here unfortunately due to strong wind gusts again

@Lexzie I think that the blue areas probably show coverage that could be made available on the Ku beams. The lower frequencies are a bit close to other sats so maybe we'll see something on 13GHz.

I had a look on 13.4-13.65GHz on 22/12/19 and today. Given that is is a clear band, I wondered if there might be a hint of something from non-Eu beams (looking in a narrow bandwidth). Nothing. I'm using an SMW 11.3GHz LO PLL LNB that has been tweaked a bit. However, the NF is not good at around 2.5-3dB. The attached plots aren't very interesting:confused
