I have been looking for a long time for a prime focus dish of about 1m (for my tests with the EGIS engine) but in continental Europe.
or possibly from the UK but with the help of someone coming to France on holiday.
if someone has one in france it would be ideal.
the price is negotiable, of course.

I see. If you might be interested, a friend of mine has been doing some tests with the Egis motor on this very antenna. There is some video footage. He is also interested in building your positioner and will probably contact you shortly. I think he can give you a lot of useful information based on that he is an expert in satellite systems.
You can watch some videos

A bit off-topic:
You could always use an offset that you have lying around, mounted 90 degrees rotated?
As here: Parameters
Then vertically, it is not offset anymore.

It has been common practice around here since the 90's, usually to keep a low profile from the neighbours, but also aids installing a wall bracket on a parapet.

how is that any different from traditional install? if the LNB is at the bottom or sideways - whats the different aesthetically? please clarify.

Well.....

The dish face is no longer almost vertical, and so the height is reduced.

Since the reflector now follows the angle of elevation (more or less) as opposed to the built in offset, it will throw less of a shadow onto anything nearby.

Depending on which side the dish is installed, it can be better matched to a roof that sits behind it, either bolted into the gully, or on a pole through the tiles.

The egis motor has a limited elevation range, making it more difficult to fit an offset dish to that motor.
So it is not an aesthetical thing, with an egis motor, but a practical thing. See the webpage I linked: good solution!
