My Satellite Setup
1m Mutlibracket (19e, 13e, 10e, 9e, 4.8e) & 1.2m @ 28e

Pärnu. Estonia/Burgas, Bulgaria
Hi,

I have been playing around with my dish setup and now have a 70cm dish with LNBFs at 4.8e 13e 19e and now 28e.

I am able to get 1N at certain times of the day,

I get the ITV1 Granada TP 24/7 but it starts breaking up around 4:00 and goes back clear around 19:00ish local time (EET)

I can get the BBC One Wales transponder at night but only for a few hours before it drops out completely (BER is huge).

I can however get every other channel at the cluster including Eutelsat 28a.

This is all with prime focus being on 19e with max signal across the board.

Good stuff. Now you know that the next thing that you should do is to put 28E as your prime satellite and see what improvement that gives you!
 
Wow. So you are getting some 1N transmissions on a 70cm dish with an offset LNB in Estonia?! If that's the case this makes it even more frustrating for me in Finland... I don't even get a sniff on a decent 1.8m. I know people have said it's possible to pick up 1N in Stockholm but generally it is thought that the signal drops off fast after that with people in south western Finland getting a few channels occasionally on a 2.4m.
 
I have now added pics to the first post.

After I modified a bit I now have the ITV1 TP 24/7 and BBC Two appears and is lockable around 8 hours a day.

It doesn't matter where it is, offset or not, this is as strong as it gets.
 
You have quite a weight on the LNB support arm. Have you tried flexing the arm towards the dish face and seeing if it improves signal levels? I did this on my Triax TD88 which is set up with a multi sat and found quite a difference. I now have a plastic spacer under the arm where it joins the dish face so it makes a more acute offset angle and brings the LNB's nearer to dish focus. Might be worth a try.
 
28e is the very far left one, There's no weight really but it doesn't bend anywhere. It's steel.

I am surprised you get anything from 1N on such a small dish, at an offset angle, in Estonia!
 
Hi! I have heard stories that somewhere on Western part of Latvia somebody had reception of UK beam on 3m antenna. But here you speak about more North and more East. Could you place some screenshots of reception?
I ask not because do not believe, but I think there are something wrong with frequencies. Perhaps if you brought you reciever from UK and not it just continue to show you another channels on similar frequencies, but names of channels stay same. It is just my guess.
 
Yes, it is very odd. I've read similar reports of very large dishes needed in South Western Finland. I suppose there could be a sidelobe over Estonia but it seems a bit weird for it to be so strong.

I'm waiting for the rain to stop before I can post some pictures. Obviously rain = no 1N. :(

I know the frequencies are correct and the channels are unencrypted as I don't have a Sky UK card. I usually receive 10759 V 22000 5/6 (ITV TP), 10788 V 22000 5/6 (Does break up at times, BBC TP), 10876 V 22000 5/6 but it is very weak and again, I often lose it.

That's it. The rest (2A, 2B, Eutelsat 28a) I am able to receive all TP's, however, I do sometimes lose Eutelsat 28a for some unknown reason (possibly when it faces the sun).
 
It does sound like you are getting some freak 1N signals. It's just odd how a few hundred km north and south of you needs 2+ metre dishes to even get something similar to what you get on a 70cm! It would be very interesting to know what you would get if you could try a larger dish.
 
Sorry for not updating this in a while. I've lost 1N. After a huge rain storm last week it was still there. On Sunday ITV1 was very weak and now completely dead all times of the day. I can only put it down to freak weather conditions.
