My wife collects all the copper coins and 5p pieces that are left at the end of the day (even out of my pockets if possible). So far we have £82 saved in a post office account since December 2008 for our Grand Tour holiday this year.sonnetpete said:If you added up all the odd 1p's over a week it could make a tidy sum. (or not if they were actually all 1p coins)

Say you earn a reasonable amount, for example £20 per hour, 1p is worth 1.8 seconds of your time. If the situation is going to take longer than that to pursue it is not economical viable and is actually costing you money.hoggy said:1p whats it worth?
