2.4 satalite dish cash waiting

motorised 2.4mtr channel master pick up nile sat

2.4 satalite dish wanted
 
Which channels are you wanting? When Nilesat 201 goes into full service you will need summat much bigger than 2.4m to watch the channels on that one!
 
am lookin to pick up nilesat from birmingham
 
all i have a 1.8 can pick up about 130 channals now want more will nilesat 201 be better signal which size dish would i need and were from how much please thanx
 
Nilesat is transmitted to the Middle East and the footprint set accordingly and is not meant for easy reception in the UK. It is unknown what size dish will be required for full reception but planning permissions is required in the UK for any dish bigger than 1.0mtr in diameter. It would probably be in the region of 3.5mtr but it is not a practical solution. If it is that important to you try setting up a slingbox with someone in the Middle East.

We know Nilesat 201 doesnt work in Swansea on a 2.4m dish so as Topper says you probably require a 3-4m dish to successfully receive it in the Midlands.

To be honest its guesswork - we just dont know - 201 is too recent into service and requires too big a dish to be practical for most folks in the UK.

If you want to go for it you are looking at several thousand pounds just for the dish, plus £100's in setup costs.With no guarantee of success at the end of it.

jibali why are you trying to sell a 2.4m dish and buy a 1.2 m dish????
