Hello!

I just bought a 60cm transparent dish, and i would like to know if i can put two heads on it to receive Astra 19 and Hotbird 13? I live in London!

Many thanks

I suggest you use a 6 degree Monoblock LNB (Two heads in one unit).

Although designed for optimal performance with 80cm Dishes, they will work happily with a 60cm Dish in a strong signal area (like yours) and are easier to set up than two single LNBs on a bracket.

Also, the mono will save you fitting a DiSEqC switch :D

EDIT: Thread moved from Satellite Meters and Installation Equipment section

Actually you can put three on if you want, eg 9e, 13e, 19e. That will work too, but you need LNBs with smallish heads, like the Inverto singles.

Using separate LNBs is good if you want to feed 28E from another dish to the receiver too.

a 6 degree Monoblock LNB will not work correctly on a 60 cm dish
they are made for 80 cm dishes

They may not work as well as they do on an 80cm dish, but they work well enough, expecially since both satellites are very strong in Europe and the UK.

I recently set up a 60cm with a 6 degree monobloc for 13 East and 7 East, centred on 7 East, it still gave a workable signal on Hotbird, but was nearly a degree out.:)
