It shouldn't. Let's say you send the motor to position #1 and that position corresponds to -0375. Now nudge the motor 5 counts to the west (-0370). Now if you press #1 the dish will get driven back to -0375. It is only if you do Adjust Shift and then Save on the V-box that all your positions will shift.Channel Hopper said:I can see a problem. It doesn't work like that. The receiver always decides the position number, not the V-box. If the number is already in use it will just be overwritten, but only that position, it won't shift all the other satellites.Vipersan said:a store command so writing information to the Vbox ...and it isn't possible to manually determine the store number during the process [...] in the next available memory location ..

The main problem you have is editing the position number, as some sat boxes have this fixed in the firmware. Enigma 2 is great because you tell it the position number for each satellite, but if you had 2 non-editable firmwares with preset position numbers you will have problems/collisions.
