2 receivers with diseqc switch

Just been playing around with my setup and wondered if its possible to do the following
I have 2 sat receivers (starsat 1200 & dreambox 500s), 1 dish fixed dish for 28.2, 1 motorised dish for 7w,26e etc and 1 disesqc switch..The switch has 28.2 on A and motorised dish on B and is connected to the starsat receiver. So i can flick between the sats no problem.. i have now connected my dreambox via the loop through of the starsat and can receive 28.2 on both so i can record bbc1 on the dreambox (mounted to my pc hd) and watch itv on the starsat. What i want to do next is this...if i turn my motor via the starsat to badr so i can watch say mbc2 and have the dreambox on 28.2 to record a channel from there. The problem is that when i do this the starsat shows mbc2 and also the dreambox does too but when i change the sat on the dreambox to the fixed dish 28.2 i get no signal..Is this possible to do on the simple swicth that i have? I have been reading about h/v and high and low band so i know there might be a conflict in getting some transponders..I have tried to configure the dreambox settings but to no avail..just need to know if it is possible or not..Anyhow im happy that i can at least record 1 channel and watch another as it stands at the moment..Any help is much appreciated

To do what you want, you can't use the loopthrough!

The loopthrough will pass out what it is receiving, there is no way it can be tuned to badr4 and pass 28.2 to the loopthough.

What might work is to run a new cable to the 28e dish, and use a diseqc switch to go between that and the loopthrough.

What would work, is to use at least a twin Lnb on the motorised, and use a spare feed on the 28e, though a diseqc switch to the 2nd box.
