HI,

I hope this is the right section.

I have a skybox downstairs. In my bedroom i have a spiderbox fta reciever.

I got a quad lnb of a very nice sky man that was doing an install on a neighbours house. I removed my old lnb which was a single one and hooked up the quad to connect both my boxes, all went well.

The problem is when i switch my box on upstairs the downstairs box starts getting a blocky picture and loss of sound. When i switch my upstairs box off the downstairs box works fine. My box in my bedroom works fine no matter if the downstairs box is on or not.

Where or what is my problem?

Any help appreciated.

Check your connections on the LNB, also if that makes no difference, swap the ports around.

Hi,

I checked my connections. swapped ports around still no luck, got the same problem.

BTW the downstairs box was working fine until i hooked up the quad lnb and other reciever.

Your only option then is to try a different quad and if that fails to cure the problem, perhaps fit a separate dish for the new receiver.

yep fogured it out. i tried another lnb and it works fine. the lnb was my problem.

The LNB may well be fine with other receivers, I had quads which wouldn't work with Bush Freesat receivers, but were fine with Sky digiboxes.

thanks but it was lnb, tried a different one and it worked.

Yes, as I said above, even though the LNB may not work with that combination of receivers, it may be quite happy with say two digiboxes.
