My rant for the New Year...

Within the next few years I predict the explosion of web streaming of encrypted material TV channels, DVDs, Films etc.

As bandwidth and computers improve it will become viable to stream content from one source, to many, using secure links.

This will be very difficult to control and could prove to be the next big, big headache for large companies (no names).

I know it is already possible with limitations - these will disappear as the technology advances.

Any views or am I talking pants - as usual?

I think you are right - theres a German site supposed to be starting up next year which will be running p2p tv services. Wonder how long it will last once someone streams the first big Premiership game :D

It's like card sharing - as long as you know the people involved it is very difficult to stop.

But there's always greedy ones.
