Here we go again with a recurring meteor shower this time the annual geminids.
In 2015, the Geminids will peak between December 13 and 14.

Can anyone recommend a telescope ?, I never get the chance to see them until they peak, reading around there best viewed through one before/after they peak

How to view the Geminids
There isn’t a lot of skill involved in watching a meteor shower. Here are some tips on how to maximize your time looking for the Geminids:

  • Get out of the city to a place where city and artificial lights do not impede your viewing
  • If you are out viewing the shower during its peak, you will not need any special equipment. You should be able to see the shower with your naked eyes.

I understand how to use that link, what I was asking/saying before they peak they are not that easy to see and best viewed through a telescope for better results/viewing, and could any recommend a telescope, my eyes are also not as good as the used to be.
 
Meteor showers are so widely spaced and erratic that a telescope would probably make it more difficult to see one. Personally I find that lying down on a reclining chair is the best way. If you have a suitable camera then setting up a long exposure might catch some.
