Is that without moving the 23.5E lnb? I shall have a look for that one as Eutel 21B will be slotting here in the next few days.

On my 1,5m PFA have this channel booming at 12dB

Yep that was the new one i picked up this morning.

Thats pretty good going

Nothing here yet - I can see a slight change on the signal bars on 11600V on the 23.5E lnb as I move it around. It might just be a fraction too weak to lock here, its reasonably overcast here atm.

However I shall have my mug of tea and go and have another look :D

Clear sky here but there's clouds on the horizon now. Sorry for the slow replies-i'm messing about with the tripod dish in the back garden. I cant get any signal on the other transponders, this morning i could get Al Falestinia on 10978V 2170 but i'm not getting anything now.

No luck here - and its clouded right over now, and looks like rain. I'll have another go when the skies are clearer :)

You keep that rain up there......

one of the weakest transponders for me is 11527V 2857 3/4.
Cloudy. And snow all around.

Never have received that one even though 11530 is normally great.

For me results from this bird vary throughout the day, looking forward to the raplacement coming online soon. Tonight in an overcast Glasgow on a 1m dish I could pick up thr following;

Baghdad TV - 10972V 2170 3/4
Al Falastiniah TV - 10978V 2170 3/4
Al Huja TV - 10989H 1600 7/8
KNN - 11004H 2594 5/6
Diyala TV - 11488V 2200 3/4
Alrai TV - 11532V 2856 3/4
LBC Europe - 11563H 2600 3/4
Yemen Today - 11600V 2170 3/4
Al Aribiya - 11655V 2850 7/8

Good results Ratchet! At what level your receiver starts to show stable picture? In case of dreambox it is about 29%.

It depends on the transmission standard, modulation and FEC in use. A standard DVB-S signal with 3/4 FEC will lock at 45% but for a higher FEC like 7/8 it takes 55% for a stable lock. The Al-huja signal in the 3rd screenshot for example was breaking up at 52%. I've had the receiver lock as low as 30% on a signal with1/2 FEC.

This is what I am getting on the F15 receiver with dB readings.

10972 V 4.7dB
10978 V 9.4
10989 H 6.3
11004 H 7.8
11487 V 6.5
11506 H 5.7
11524 V 5.7
11527 V 5.3
11530 V 9.4
11563 H 6.3
11601 V 9.4
11655 V 9.1

That gives me 13 channels on the 12 tp's with two channels on 11563. The channel names are different to Lyngsat in some cases e.g. Baghdad on 10972 scans as Service 2, Al Huja on 10989 scans as Ericsson Service. Signals go up and down but usually Yemen Today on 11601 is the strongest. Last night 10978 got very strong over 11 dB.

It will be interesting to see what happens when 21B becomes active.

I'm looking forward to setting a dedicated lnb for 21E on the td88 providing i can get a narrow inverto next to 23.5!!!! Thats a job for the spring really, too cold up that ladder and little daylight.

Massive increase in signal levels this morning, looks like 21B might be active already.
