Now for a strange tale.. Last night about 1:30 AM ..I locked albeit briefly ..ie long enough to scan into the F15. This one found bt Llew a few days ago .. Attaching photo ..sorry about the quality ..I was seriously rushing. So the point is that the 22KHZ switch was in line at the time.. Proving it takes little if anything away insertion wise. So I checked all my other channels at 16E.. They actually seemed stronger ?? This morning of course ..No sign of the channel Digital 1 ...but ran a test to see if I imagined the signal increase .. Here are the rather odd results >>>> First 16 E without the switch in line TFM 12.2db > 12.5 db (Av 12.3) LTM 8.4db >8.9db (Av 8.6) Equinoxe 9.7db > 10.4db (Av 10) ..and with the switch in line TFM 12.4db > 12.6db (Av12.5) LTM 9.1db > 9.6db (Av 9.3) Equinoxe 10.1db > 10.7db (Av 10.4) Make of it what you will but I see a clear advantage to having the 22KHz switch in line at 16East Ka .. I repeated the experiment at 7E and the results were not conclusive .. If anything the levels were the same ..not increased ..nor reduced. It's certainly an oddity.. Perhaps the Switch is having a filter effect ? ..perhaps there is some minimal amplification ? ..but why only at 16 East and not 7 East. Another Mystery Llew ....you know we love 'em. rgds VS
