Is there a way of making the motor not so noisy thanks
 
Wouldn't say that they were that noisy compared to a DiSEqC motor. How far is the dish from the house?
 
The dish is about 10meters am just thinking of the neighbours

Your neighbours must be lucky to have such a luvy neighbour like yourself :P
 
Some people fill the pole with sand, helps deaden the noise, also I seem to recall a device that fits between the cable, and motor, designed to slow down the motor, making it less noisy.
 
A 5 ohm or thereabouts power resistor should be about right, dropping the voltage to about 24v.
 
Yes 24v would certainly reduce the motor noise and still move fast enough. Well ok when used with a 24v Bosch cordless drill battery :-rofl2
