A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

My 4G service varies from 1 to 75Mbit/s depending on time of day. Dropping to 3G results in a more stable 8 to 21Mbit/s - probably due to less people using it. The jitter and bandwidth variability makes streaming frustrating with random frame skipping, resolution drops and occasional buffering. If everyone in the area was using mobile data for TV (no fiber here) then it'd grind to a halt. I've yet to stream anything live that betters the linear satellite version :/
It can/will only get worse before 5G is rolled out fully for the great unwashed.

Interesting that this transponder has (I think) HbbTV, I don't believe any SD only Sky & Freesat receivers support it :confused

4G in much of London is terrible on some carriers. Nowhere near enough towers for the amount of users.

I find the 5G on the outskirts of cities pretty bad, it takes ages for my phone to drop to a more stable 4G signal vs a 1 bar 5G.

Wish there was an easy way to select what 'G' you want to use.

That's a very good point, how strange! Unless it's for when the channels start to swap on the HD receivers and these legacy BBC One SD etc services will appear in high EPG numbers. Seems a bit pointless to bother though if they were to do that, you'd think they'll remove the SD version completely for those with HD equipment as soon as possible.

The picture quality is very good in 720 x 576 SD on a 43" TV.

We have no reports on 11739 V,27500,? and 11779 V,27500,2/3 at 28.2E on FlySat and Lyngsat; it seems we have a Data transmission (test carrier?) on the latter.
So far, 11739 V is unknown because I have been unable to lock the signal manually, only auto. Probably with an S2X extension(?).
Maybe an insider can tell us what is with this mux?

11778V is the "default" transponder on my UK Sky+ HD box (found in the hidden installer menu), so presumably carries the EPG etc. It is also the transponder shown when entering the manual tuning menu though it gives "no signal found" when scanning it for channels.

It's the epg tp, the TM5402 M1/2/3 uses it to get 7 day epg.
