Hello All 
I was hoping you could give me a little advise.
Someone asked me to have a look at their satellite kit. I've waisted two hours messing around with it and got almost nowhere.
We had a bad storm here on Thursday, so when I got the call I though it would be a simple alignment problem.
When I arrived the dish was a little out, so I realigned and tightened everything up, thinking, great that was easy.
Turns out its not that simple. Reception is still poor. I double checked alignment, then triple checked, then a few times more.
The alignment is spot on as far as I can tell using my signal meter.
Could this be a problem with the LNB? I didnt have a spare to had for testing. The cabling, connections etc are all fine as far as I can tell.
There was some lightning along with the storm. I'm wondering if this could have damaged the LNB. Are LNB's sensitive to lightning damage? There was no direct hit and no reports of any damage to other electrical items.
Setup is as follows.
Zone2 minidish with quad output LNB feeding two SD Bush Freesat recievers. Both boxes are having the same problem, so I'd suspect a Dish or LNB problem. I wouldnt expect both cables/connections to have failed at the same time.

Just to add. I couldnt find any signal guide in the menu on the Bush receiver so cant report any levels. All I can say is that some channels are fine, others are freezing whilst some wont tune at all. BBC NI for example. Occasionally some sound will get through, but thats about it.
