I got asked this earlier today by a prospective client for a TV with satellite tuner.

Have there ever been UHD broadcasts in the clear on Astra 2 ?

I think they used to show an SES UHD demo on repeat but that closed a few years ago.

A trip through the Internet Archive website via Flysat suggests that these transmissions (12441 V) ceased on or around 1st October 2023.
