Can anyone sort the 2D transponders ( or channels ) based on their power and "ease" of reception ? or perhaps which should be the "easiest" ?

Nice idea but impossible in practice. Each place gets different reception off the sidelobe. For instance here in Cyprus we get the Horizontal Lows but no Vertical Lows but it is the exact opposite in Malta just a few hundred miles to the west. Local knoweledge is key with 2D .... I know, as does every installer and user in my area, which is the best BBC & ITV to watch.

Sorry I can't be of more help

Cheers

Nick

There is no single transponder on 2D which is stronger everywhere, every country is different, all you can say is many people have reported 10773 H is stronger than 10803 H (both BBC) in many parts of Europe. 10891 H is consistently reported as weak by many people, not surprising, as it is weaker than the others in SE England, right in the middle of 2D footprint.

I noticed lately that 10773 & 10832 is more or less same power..the strongest transponder seems to be 10744 and weakest 10862.

I find 10744 strongest followed by 10714,10773,10803,10832,10862,10891 and worst 10921.

Thanks people. This is all part of the homework and wind up for a larger dish I've got my eye on. We'll see...

Can I mention the fact that I'm selling my current setup in the "Classifieds" section ? or is that against list rules ... ? :)
