Can you get a signal from 11596V this looks like its beam is a lot stronger in the UK ( spot:cool:
_http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/maps/eb3_spotb.html

Whereas Foxturk is on spot A+D with a power level of approx 44 dBW ( 90to 120 cm dish needed)

Maybe you dish is slightly too small.

Thanks Robbo for your reply. Tried 11596v but still no signal, "What Satellite" says 60cm dish for South and 80cm for North. so I cant understand it, 90cm in theory should be enough. RAY

Yes you should be able to get the spot B no problems, errrm according to the footprint.( reliable??)
Are you sure you are tracking the arc properly?

I will check later see if I can get it on my minidish:-rofl2, ( get similar levels from other sats), if I can get it you obviously should.

Well, I can confirm that I can get some of the spot B transponders on my paltry little minidish, can't get any pictures, but that makes sense as it doesn't look like there's any FTA channels on there anyway.
But I'm definitely geting a signal on 11596V with a 72% quality where I am. So to me, maybe I'm wrong, but I think you are not tracking the arc properly, and thus not aligned on the sat.

Hi Robbo

Thanks again for your efforts to help me,your right ,I am getting a strong signal from 11596v so my dish must be in the right place.
However it is the only signal I am getting on that Satellite.
It seems therefore the signal from Fox Turk is too weak for me to receive(shame, they show PREMIERSHIP fOOTBALL).I will have to do without.
Regards Ray

Are you sure that's the only one you are getting?, I did a blind scan and got a few other transpnders also.

The spot B's must be strong if I can get them, so even a slightly misaligned dish would get them also.

Have you tried tweaking the dish slightly under Diseqc1.2? that might bring it in. Or otherwise check the dish alignment outside by flexing the dish while on 33E, and see if you can improve the signal.

Since the signal from FoxTurk is small, it essential to get the arc or dish alignment spot on.

Nice pictures :)

The first 4 are not on spot B, the last one is, but I can't get that, maybe it's the low symbol rate.

Hi Jakenl
Its obvious now my dish is too small because you are getting the above
with a 1.1cm dish also you are in a different location which probably helps as well. Regards Ray
